Fresh Australian ginger is available 12 months of the year through market chains and independent grocers, and adds a distinctive flavour to a range of different cooking styles. Fresh Australian ginger is renowned for its quality and consistency, underpinned by certified quality assurance.
The Australian ginger industry currently produces approximately 8000tonnes of ginger per annum 40% of which is used in the process industry, while 60% is sent to the fresh markets across Australia.
There are two varieties of ginger – Canton, grown for the fresh market, and Queensland ginger, highly valued for its unique flavour in a wide range of products produced by our supply chain partners, Buderim Ginger, Gourmet Gardens and Bundaberg Brewed Drinks.
